The Málaga GR footpath

The Málaga GR is a pioneering footpath in Andalusia, aimed at integrating all the geographic and environmental diversity of Málaga Province and arousing interest in natural areas, thus inviting tourists to visit the hinterland villages.

The Málaga GR footpath is meant to bring tourism, sport and the environment together while linking some of the existing hiking paths in the province and connecting Málaga to the Spanish and European footpath network via the Mozarabic Way of St James and GR-92/E-12, a European footpath running across the Mediterranean basin, all the way to Greece.
