Sierra de las Nieves National Park

Declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, this park is in the heart of the Serranía de Ronda mountains. With an area of ??20,163 hectares, it’s home one of the most outstanding karst reliefs in the world, the GEMS hole. In a mountainous territory with precipitations in the form of canyons and pits, there are some geological phenomena such as gorges that are not abundant in the Andalusian region. In its flora it has a fir forest spread over more than 3.00 hectares and, in its fauna, the mountain goat stands out, with one of the most important populations in the Andalusian territory, as well as the roe deer, the other renowned mammal species existing in the park.
